Mr. Larry Earnest Puckett of Roswell, son of the late Earnest Willie Puckett and Willie Eva Puckett, died April 12, 2005 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born January 31, 1943 in Atlanta, Larry was a graduate of Avondale High School, Georgia State University and Atlanta Law School. Respected for his principles and strong will, Larry is survived by his steadfast wife of 41 years, Nancy Hamling Puckett; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Creighton Frommer; son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Jesse Puckett; son, Erik Puckett; grandchildren, Madelyn and Max Puckett and the devoted Family: Coe and Betty Hamling; Jeff, Laura, Jeffrey and Alison Hamling; Cid Hamling; Tom, Peggy, Shelley and Natalie Fulghum; Dennis, Robbi and Melissa Palmer; Scott, Kathryn and Claire Mulkey; and Matt and Holly Blackwell. Larry was comforted in the last days of his journey by his caring and compassionate friends at the Veranda in Roswell and Portsbridge Hospice.The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, April 14th at Northside Chapel, 12050 Crabapple Rd in Roswell. Friends and family are welcome to gather for a reception at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 15th at Roswell Presbyterian Church on Mimosa Boulevard in Roswell, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. The internment will be at 1:00 p.m. at Floral Hills Memory Gardens at 3000 Lawrenceville Highway in Tucker. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to Roswell Presbyterian Church, 755 Mimosa Boulevard, Roswell, GA 30075, or to the Alzheimer's Association 1841 Clifton Rd., NE, Atlanta, GA, 30329.
