I knew Olija and here husband to be Tommy Brook. Her story of her family fleeing across norhtern europe at the end of WW2 from the russian army as it advanced on Germany is epic. Her father was a Latvian army officer and his entire family was in danger because of it. Her story was of much suffering and terror. Tommy was very heart sick at her lose and told me on the phone how much he missed her. She was a wonderful personality tempered well in fire.

Ollija,     She was always so sweet and smiley!  It seemed as if she really enjoyed high school, being involved in many different clubs. Also, she was our class vice-president, too.    Always so nice to everyone.  She is missed.
