WEST COLUMBIA:Services for Dennis Lee Fincher, 63, will be held at 11am Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at Platt Springs United Methodist Church, officiated by Rev. Paul M. Cheezem. Interment will follow in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11am prior to the service at the church. Thompson Funeral Home of West Columbia is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Platt Springs United Methodist Church, Roofing Fund, 3215 Platt Springs Road, West Columbia, SC 29172.



Mr. Fincher died Sunday, October 7, 2007. Born in Atlanta, GA, he was a son of Lonnie B. Fincher and the late Louise Ledbetter Fincher. He was a member of Platt Springs United Methodist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher, served as the Financial Secretary, Past Chair of Trustees and Past President of United Methodist Men. Mr. Fincher attended Rhinehart College and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict.



Surviving is his wife, Ann Shealy Fincher of West Columbia; son, Steve Sessoms of Washington, and son, Mike and wife Vicki Sessoms of Gilbert, SC; three step-sisters, three step-brothers and one grandchild, Jessica Sessoms; father and step-mother, Lonnie and Margie Fincher of Northcross, GA.
