I married my husband, Dennis Griffith, in 1962.  He worked for Gulf Oil Corporation at the time, same location as Jimmie Gayle, believe she was the receptionist there for a few years.  We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary in February of 2012.


 


I began to work for Western Electric in their 1365 building (downtown) in December of 1963 (the Gulf Oil building was next door) so hubby and I could ride to work together.  A number of our classmates ultimately found their way there, Mike Giddings and Nancy (forgive me, cannot remember her last name at this moment).  Western Electric became part of AT&T, then ultimately Lucent Technologies, and I retired on disability in 2002, just two months short of having 40 years of service with the company.
