Comment:  I think one of the funniest things and the nicest thing that has happened in my life, is the fact that I am now happily married to someone that is my soul mate. We just never realized it when we were going steady our senior year at Avondale. Like they say, you have to kiss a few toads to finally come up with your mate..Not only did I kissed these toads, but I married them...Yucky.....


Johnny and I started having fun from the first time that we started seeing each other in 1988. The game he always liked to play was "see if I make it to the next rung"..You see, I was married the first time for 12 years and divorced in 1977. The second BIG mistake was marrage for 6 years and divorce in 1988...I don't know if you are getting the sequence that has started to form........Johnny was shooting to see if we could stay married more than 3 years...made rung #1. Then there was surviving through 1999. I loved to divorce in those double digits! Needless to say, he has passed all of the sequences and we have been married for 21 years ......so that is longer than all of the rest of my disasters put together and I am finally content and happy! Love you Johnny Vaughan. You have been the best husband of all...


I spent most of my life in the retail game. First husband and I owned a TV sales and repair shop on Piedmont Ave.,near Andsley Mall. We had a few other shops but the main ones ended up being in Toco Hills and Sandy Springs. I had 2 children and worked in the business and eventually became a microwave cooking instructor in our shop to help people understand the "microwave" concept of cooking......Things started going south and I had to move on with my life, besides he was 9 years older than I was, and meaner than a damn snake!


Number 2 is hardly worth mentioning. He was a traveling shoe salesman and had 3 chrildren from a previous marriage...At this time my mother is asking if I could just find an "unused" husband for a change. Well, this one was cut short because I should have never said yes, because unbeknownst to me, their mother did not want the children and I ended up with a house full of someone else's very poorly mannered chrildren and they were brats. I gave it my all, but he traveled and came home on weekends and would not discipline his chirdren . They were fine with me, when he was away.... Oh what the heck, another notch in my belt!


I started working for Rich's Department Store downtown in 1979 and retired after 30 years. I started out in the electronics department and ended up doing design and selling furniture at Perimeter Mall.


Now I am happily retired and spending even more time with my loving husband. It is a great blessing to get to the age of 67 and be this happy. Yes, I am truly blessed.
